John 14:6, “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”
There simply are not many paths to God….there is one—Jesus Christ. This is not a human invention….it’s not something the Church developed to monopolize power (I’m not saying it has not ever been twisted or exploited to that end), rather it is something God Incarnate Himself has said to us. The One True God will be found, will be received, will be entered into and enjoyed in no other way than in and through the historical, scriptually revealed, crucified and risen Jesus—by the enabling, enlightening Spirit (John 16:14, etc).
