Although Full of Eyes is primarily focused on the creation of animations, over the last year and a half I’ve also made quite a few still pictures for the monthly supporters of the ministry and various other occasions. Upon the encouragement of some of those closest to me, I’ve decided to compile what I think

“And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and knelt down and prayed….and being in an agony, He prayed more earnestly.” – Luke 22:41,44 Prayer was the lifeline of God the Son during His days on the earth. He regularly sought the Father through prayer, and here – as He stands at the precipice

“And going a little farther He fell on His face and prayed, saying, ‘My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.’“ – Matthew 26:39 “Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father and he will at once send me more

…and so we will always be with the Lord – 1 Thessalonians 4:17   The One I pray to in the silence of my mind, the one whose form I have never seen, the One who has led me from the womb, in whom millions have trusted. The One who has led His church for

“And he said, ‘Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.’ And He said to him, ‘Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.’” – Luke 23:42-43   In Christ Alone I praise God that this account was included in scripture. What a merciful thing the Lord has done

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life.” -Leviticus 17:11 In this verse we find an amazing explanation given by YHWH as to why the

“Oh, taste and see that YHWH is good! Blessed [Oh, how deeply happy] is the man who takes refuge in Him.” – Psalm 34:8 How To Do This? How do we “taste and see” that the Lord is good? However it is accomplished, this is what the regenerated heart wants…to know Him, to “feast” on

“But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of YHWH never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” – Lamentations 3:21-23 The Lamenter of ch.3 is suffering terribly under the wrath of God, he is writhing under the

“Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy upon

“Into your hand I commit my spirit; you have redeemed me, O YHWH, faithful God.” -Psalm 31:5 This Psalm was one of the last things to pass through Jesus’ mind on the cross (Luke 23:46). Consider that, these words…..words we can read from the comfort of our homes, words we can read with a coffee

Muslims and Christians (and Jews)….The Same God? Due to some controversies that have recently come to the surface in certain Christian spheres, the question of whether or not Christians and Muslims worship “the same God” is once again a front burner issue for many (and, I think, will only continue to become a more crucial

“For your name’s sake, O YHWH, pardon my guilt, for it is great.” – Psalm 25:11   A Counterintuitive Request The logic in these verses is interesting. In fact, at first glance it seems to be counter intuitive. David asks the Holy One – the Just Judge, the One whose eyes are too pure to

“Cursed is the man who trusts in man (or what man has made….gods, chariots, weapons of war, security systems, locks and bolts, numbers in the bank account) and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord…” – Jeremiah 17:5 Shrubs and Trees These are heavy words! Notice how Jeremiah unpacks the

“…and standing behind Him at His feet, weeping, she began to wet His feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head and kissed His feet and anointed them with the ointment.” – Luke 7:38   What Is Happening Here? Simon, the Pharisee, has asked Jesus to come eat at his

Since I’m continuing work on The Word of the Cross animation in hopes of releasing it next week,  today’s post is another guest entry brought to us by Jonathon Woodyard from over at Mind & Mission. In today’s post, Jonathon helps us think about the balance between “word people” and “power people.” That is to say, people who

“Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.” – Luke 5:8   How The Boat Was The Throne Room In this passage, Jesus instructs Peter to throw his net into a specific area of water and, to the surprise of all but Jesus, a huge, net-breaking amount of fish is caught. You would

I’m still working on finishing up the next animation, so today’s post is another guest entry – and a very special guest entry at that, since its written by my younger brother, Sean Powers. Sean and his wife are preparing to be missionaries and trusting the Lord to lead them to the right people

A Word on Guest Bloggers The last few weeks have been full of animation work for me as I am trying my best to get “The Word Of The Cross” completed before the Christmas holiday begins. My desire is to have this animation finished before December 20th so that it will be available to share

“…He took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to them, and said, ‘Take; this is my body.’ And He took a cup, and when He had given thanks He gave it to them, and they all drank of it. And He said to them, ‘This is my blood of the

“The most important (commandment) is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
