Resurrection Sunday – Song of Songs 2:10

Song of Songs, 2:10, “Arise my Love, my Beautiful One, and come away…”

Arise, my Love, for Night is passed,
And Death’s cold reign is done.
Your tears to joy have turned, at last,
Rise in the Risen Son.

Arise, my Flesh, my Bone, my Bride,
Blood-washed and Beautiful,
Born from and gathered through my side
To unapproachable
Light that burns beyond the veil
Of deepest heaven’s heart
Where Love, red running, fills the grail—
Come drink the Morning Star.

Yea, even unto my own soul,
Come set your lips to drink,
For this I took your Nature, whole,
That you, in me, might sing.

Might sing the Song of Songs above—
My Life eternally—
To be, in Love, Love’s own Beloved.
Come ever in to me.

Come ever in, by my Breath borne, as dove upon the wing,
To heights and depths and breadth and length—the fullness of the King.

The fullness of the King is yours, come eat and drink and see,
That all I Am, I Am for you, in love upon the Tree.
